Historic Downtown Yankton Association (HDYA) is a coalition of property owners, business owners and business employees, committed to enhancing the quality of life and business in Downtown Yankton. We believe that Downtown Yankton is the heart of the community and a truly unique place that offers both historical & architectural textures then combines it with specialty stores and terrific customer service. This unique grouping offers our visitors an alternative perspective and a chance to stroll and enjoy a leisurely visit to the origin of the city of Yankton.
How We Operate
As a non-profit organization dedicated to revitalization and development in Historic Downtown Yankton, we operate as full partners with the City of Yankton and with the support of the Yankton Area Chamber of Commerce. This creates a united atmosphere within our downtown business district that is consistent with the preservation of its historic character, while at the same time stimulates economic growth.
The Historic Downtown Yankton Association is run by Board Members that are Business Owners, Employees and Investors. We hold general membership meetings the second Tuesday of each month. All Downtown supporters are encouraged to attend to network with members and investors and learn more about the work of our organization!

Every year, HDYA strives to make Yankton the heart of the community and forge an impression in the minds and hearts of our visitors through Sponsored Downtown Historic Yankton Events.
